◕‿◕ Greetings to you from a warm and sunny Cape Town. It’s nearly weekend and I have something really special to show you today by world-renowned needlecraft artist: Trish Burr from Cape Town, South Africa.
Trish is famous for her beautiful books and this is one of her best-sellers: Needle Painting Embroidery Fresh Ideas For Beginners— a complete guide for beginners to learn the technique.

…and here is her little Pygmy Kingfisher – one of the first birds that Trish made and it’s still one of her favourites.

And more close-up detail…
Thank you Trish for sharing this little Kingfisher with all of us ♥ I hope to see you very soon … it’s always so good to spend time with you — creativity flows!
Have a lovely weekend everyone and sending lots of African sunshine to embroiderers experiencing freezing temperatures in Europe. -30 °Celsius — that’s unimaginable to an African soul. Take care and keep warm.
I will show more of Trish Burr’s beautiful pieces in the weeks to come. So do…
Till next time
Happy weekend
Love
